Hayley loves playing with her teddy bear named Asher. One day, the friends decide to set up a hospital at their home. Hayley “fell ill” and Asher became a doctor. He examined the patient, gave injections and prescribed medications. Then the roles were reversed. Hayley realized how important the work of doctors is.

Chapter #1

It was a rainy day, and Haley couldn’t go outside to play. She looked at her teddy bear, Asher, and smiled. “Let’s play doctors!” she said excitedly. Asher, always ready for an adventure, agreed. Haley gathered all her toy medical supplies. She set up a little hospital in the living room. It was going to be a fun day!

Chapter #2

Haley placed a small table in the middle of the room. She put her toy stethoscope, thermometer, and bandages on it. Asher sat patiently, waiting for instructions. “First, we need to check your temperature,” Haley said. She pretended to take Asher’s temperature. “Oh no, you have a fever!” she exclaimed. Asher nodded, playing along.

Chapter #3

Haley decided that Asher would be the first patient. “Doctor Haley is here to help!” she announced. She checked Asher’s heartbeat with the toy stethoscope. “Your heart sounds strong,” she said with a smile. Then she looked into Asher’s ears. “Everything looks good,” she added. Asher felt very special being Haley’s patient.

Chapter #4

Haley pretended to give Asher some medicine. “This will make you feel better,” she said. Asher pretended to drink the medicine. “Yum, it tastes like honey!” he said. Haley giggled at Asher’s reaction. “Now you need to rest,” she advised. Asher lay down on the couch, pretending to sleep.
