Psalm 31

Ps 31,1 Ein Psalm Davids, vorzusingen. O JAHWEH, auf dich traue ich, laß mich nimmermehr zu Schanden werden; errette mich durch deine Gerechtigkeit!

KJV + EL = To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. In you, O YAHWEH, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in your righteousness.

Ps 31,2 Neige deine Ohren zu mir, eilend hilf mir! Sei mir ein starker Fels und eine Burg, daß du mir helfest!

KJV + EL = Bow down your ear to me; deliver me speedily: be to me a strong rock, for a house of defense to save me.

Ps 18,3

Ps 31,3 Denn du bist mein Fels und meine Burg, und um deines Namens willen wollest du mich leiten und führen.

KJV + EL = For you are my rock and my fortress; therefore for your name‘s sake lead me, and guide me.

Ps 23,3

Ps 31,4 Du wollest mich aus dem Netze ziehen, das sie mir gestellt haben; denn du bist meine Stärke.

KJV + EL = Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for you are my strength.

Ps 31,5 In deine Hände befehle ich meinen Geist; du hast mich erlöst, O JAHWEH, du treuer Gott [El].

KJV + EL = Into your hand I commit my spirit: you have redeemed me, O YAHWEH, you El of truth.

Ps 31,6 Ich hasse, die da halten auf eitle Götzen; ich aber hoffe auf JAHWEH.

KJV + EL = I have hated them that regard lying vanities: but I trust in YAHWEH.

Ps 31,7 Ich freue mich und bin fröhlich über deine Güte, daß du mein Elend ansiehst und erkennst meine Seele in der Not

KJV + EL = I will be glad and rejoice in your mercy: for you have considered my trouble; you have known my soul in adversities;

Ps 31,8 und übergibst mich nicht in die Hände des Feindes; du stellst meine Füße auf weiten Raum.

KJV + EL = And have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: you have set my feet in a large place.

Ps 18,37

Ps 31,9 O JAHWEH, sei mir gnädig, denn mir ist angst (ich bin in Bedrängnis); meine Gestalt ist verfallen vor Trauern, dazu meine Seele und mein Leib.

KJV + EL = Have mercy upon me, O YAHWEH, for I am in trouble: my eye is consumed with grief, yes, my soul and my body.

Ps 6,8

Ps 31,10 Denn mein Leben hat abgenommen vor Betrübnis und meine Zeit vor Seufzen; meine Kraft ist verfallen vor meiner Missetat, und meine Gebeine sind verschmachtet.

KJV + EL = For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: my strength fails because of my iniquity, and my bones are consumed.

Ps 31,11 Es geht mir so übel, daß ich bin eine große Schmach geworden meinen Nachbarn und eine Scheu meinen Verwandten; die mich sehen auf der Gasse, fliehen vor mir.

KJV + EL = I was a reproach among all my enemies, but especially among my neighbors, and a fear to my acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me.

Ps 69,11-13

Ps 31,12 Mein ist vergessen im Herzen wie eines Toten; ich bin geworden wie ein zerbrochenes Gefäß.

KJV + EL = I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.

Ps 31,13 Denn ich höre, wie mich viele schelten, Schrecken ist um und um; sie ratschlagen miteinander über mich und denken, mir das Leben zu nehmen.

KJV + EL = For I have heard the slander of many: fear was on every side: while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life.

Jer 20,10; 46,5

Ps 31,14 Ich aber, O JAHWEH, hoffe auf dich und spreche: Du bist mein Gott [Elohim]!

KJV + EL = But I trusted in you, O YAHWEH: I said, you are my Elohim.

Ps 31,15 Meine Zeit steht in deinen Händen. Errette mich von der Hand meiner Feinde und von denen, die mich verfolgen.

KJV + EL = My times are in your hand: deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from them that persecute me.

Ps 139,16

Ps 31,16 Laß leuchten dein Angesicht über deinen Knecht; hilf mir durch deine Güte!

KJV + EL = Make your face to shine upon your servant: save me for your mercies‘ sake.

4. Mose 6,25; Ps 80,4

Ps 31,17 LUTHER + ELBERFELDER 1871 = O JAHWEH, laß mich nicht zu Schanden werden; denn ich rufe dich an. Die Gesetzlosen müssen zu Schanden werden und schweigen im Scheol!

KJV + EL = Let me not be ashamed, O YAHWEH; for I have called upon you: let the wicked/ the lawless be ashamed, and let them be silent in Sheol.

Ps 31,18 Verstummen müssen falsche Mäuler, die da reden gegen den Gerechten frech, stolz und höhnisch.

KJV + EL = Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

Ps 31,19 Wie groß ist deine Güte, die du verborgen hast für die, so dich fürchten, und erzeigst vor den Leuten denen, die auf dich trauen!

KJV + EL = Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for them that fear you; which you have wrought for them that trust in you before the sons of men!

Ps 31,20 LUTHER + ELBERFELDER 1871 = Du verbirgst sie in dem Verborgenen deines Angesichtes vor den Verschwörungen; heimlich bei dir vor jedermanns Trotz; du verbirgst sie in einer Hütte vor den zänkischen Zungen.

KJV + EL = You shall hide them in the secret of your presence from the pride of man: you shall keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

Ps 27,5

Ps 31,21 Gelobt ist JAHWEH, daß er hat eine wunderbare Güte mir bewiesen in einer festen Stadt.

KJV + EL = Blessed is YAHWEH: for he has showed me his marvelous kindness in a strong city.

Ps 17,7

Ps 31,22 Denn ich sprach zu meinem Zagen: Ich bin von deinen Augen verstoßen. Dennoch hörtest du meines Flehens Stimme, da ich zu dir schrie.

KJV + EL = For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before your eyes: Nevertheless you heard the voice of my supplications when I cried to you.

Ps 31,23 Oh liebet JAHWEH, alle seine Heiligen! Die Gläubigen behütet JAHWEH und vergilt reichlich dem, der Hochmut übt.

KJV + EL = Oh love YAHWEH, all you his saints: For YAHWEH preserves the faithful, and plentifully rewards him the deals proudly.

Ps 31,24 Seid getrost und unverzagt, alle, die ihr auf JAHWEH harret!

KJV + EL = Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all you that hope in YAHWEH.

Psalm 32

Ps 32,1 Wohl dem, dem die Übertretungen vergeben sind, dem die Sünde bedeckt ist!

KJV + EL + WEBSTER = [A Psalm] of David, Maschil. Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

Röm 4,6-9

Ps 32,2 Wohl dem Menschen, dem JAHWEH die Missetat nicht zurechnet, in des Geist kein Falsch ist!

KJV + EL = Blessed is the man to whom YAHWEH imputes not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

Ps 32,3 Denn da ich es wollte verschweigen, verschmachteten meine Gebeine durch mein täglich Heulen.

KJV + EL = When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all the day long.

Ps 31,11; 51,10

Ps 32,4 Denn deine Hand war Tag und Nacht schwer auf mir, daß mein Saft vertrocknete, wie es im Sommer dürre wird. (Sela.)

KJV + EL = For day and night your hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.

Ps 32,5 Darum bekannte ich dir meine Sünde und verhehlte meine Missetat nicht. Ich sprach: Ich will JAHWEH meine Übertretungen bekennen. Da vergabst du mir die Missetat meiner Sünde. (Sela.)

KJV + EL = I acknowledged my sin to you, and my iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions to YAHWEH; and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

Spr 28,13

Ps 32,6 Deshalb werden alle Heiligen/ Frommen zu dir beten zur rechten Zeit [es könnte auch die Zeit kommen, wo es zu spät ist - Jesaja 55,6]; darum, wenn große Wasserfluten kommen, werden sie nicht an dieselben gelangen.

KJV + EL = For this shall every one that is righteous pray to you in a time when you may be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come near to him.

Ps 32,7 Du bist mein Schirm; du wirst mich vor Angst behüten, daß ich errettet gar fröhlich rühmen kann. (Sela.)

KJV + EL = You are my hiding place; you shall preserve me from trouble; you shall compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

Ps 32,8 „Ich will dich unterweisen und dir den Weg zeigen, den du wandeln sollst; ich will dich mit meinen Augen leiten.“

KJV + EL = I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with my eye.

Ps 25,12

Ps 32,9 Seid nicht wie Rosse und Maultiere, die nicht verständig sind, welchen man Zaum und Gebiß muß ins Maul legen, wenn sie nicht zu dir wollen.

KJV + EL = Be you not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, else they come not near to you.

Spr 26,3

Ps 32,10 LUTHER + ELBERFELDER 1871 = Der Gesetzlose hat viel Plage; wer aber auf JAHWEH hofft/ vertraut, den wird die Güte umfangen.

KJV + EL = Many sorrows shall be to the wicked/ the lawless: but he that trusts in YAHWEH, mercy shall compass him about.

Ps 32,11 Freuet euch JAHWEH’s und seid fröhlich, ihr Gerechten, und rühmet, alle ihr Frommen/ von Herzen Aufrichtigen!

KJV + EL = Be glad in YAHWEH, and rejoice, you righteous: and shout for joy, all you that are upright in heart.

Ps 33,1

Psalm 33

Ps 33,1 Freuet euch JAHWEH’s, ihr Gerechten; die Frommen sollen ihn preisen.

KJV + EL = Rejoice in YAHWEH, O you righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.

Ps 31,11

Ps 33,2 Danket JAHWEH mit Harfen und lobsinget ihm auf dem Psalter von zehn Saiten.

KJV + EL = Praise YAHWEH with harp: sing to him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.

Ps 92,4

Ps 33,3 Singt ihm ein neues Lied; machet es gut auf Saitenspiel mit Schall.

KJV + EL = Sing to him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.

Ps 40,4; 96,1; 98,1; Offb 5,9

Ps 33,4 Denn JAHWEH’s Wort ist wahrhaftig; und was er zusagt, das hält er gewiß.

KJV + EL = For the word of YAHWEH is right; and all his works are done in truth.

Ps 33,5 Er liebt die Gerechtigkeit und Gericht; die Erde ist voll der Güte JAHWEH’s.

KJV + EL = He loves righteousness and justice: the earth is full of the lovingkindness of YAHWEH.

Ps 33,6 Der Himmel ist durch das Wort JAHWEH’s gemacht und all sein Heer durch den Geist seines Mundes.

KJV + EL = By the word of YAHWEH were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

1. Mose 1,6.14

Ps 33,7 Er hält das Wasser im Meer zusammen wie in einem Schlauch und legt die Tiefen in das Verborgene.

KJV + EL = He gathers the waters of the sea together as an heap: he lays up the depth in storehouses.

Ps 104,9

Ps 33,8 Alle Welt fürchte JAHWEH; und vor ihm scheue sich alles, was auf dem Erdboden wohnt.

KJV + EL = Let all the earth fear YAHWEH: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

Ps 33,9 Denn so er spricht, so geschieht es; so er gebot, so steht es da.

KJV + EL = For he spoke, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

Ps 33,10 JAHWEH macht zunichte der Nationen (Heiden) Rat(-schluss) und wendet die Gedanken der Völker.

KJV + EL = YAHWEH brings the counsel of the nations to nothing: he makes the devices of the people of none effect.

Ps 33,11 Aber der Rat JAHWEH’s bleibt ewiglich, seines Herzens Gedanken für und für.

KJV + EL = The counsel of YAHWEH stands forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

Ps 33,12 Wohl dem Volk/ der Nation, deren Gott [Elohim] JAHWEH ist, dem Volk, das er zum Erbe erwählt hat!

KJV + EL = Blessed is the nation whose Elohim is YAHWEH; and the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.

5. Mose 33,29

Ps 33,13 JAHWEH schaut vom Himmel und sieht aller Menschen Kinder.

KJV + EL = YAHWEH looks from heaven; he beholds all the sons of men.

Ps 33,14 Von seinem festen Thron sieht er auf alle, die auf Erden wohnen.

KJV + EL = From the place of his habitation he looks upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

Ps 33,15 Er lenkt ihnen allen das Herz; er merkt auf alle ihre Werke.

KJV + EL = He fashions their hearts alike; he considers all their works.

Ps 33,16 Einem Könige hilft nicht seine große Macht; ein Riese wird nicht errettet durch seine große Kraft.

KJV + EL = There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

Ps 33,17 Rosse helfen auch nicht, und ihre große Stärke errettet nicht.

KJV + EL = An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

Ps 20,8

Ps 33,18 Siehe, JAHWEH’s Auge sieht auf die, so ihn fürchten, die auf seine Güte hoffen,

KJV + EL = Behold, the eye of YAHWEH is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

Ps 34,16.18

Ps 33,19 daß er ihre Seele errette vom Tode und ernähre sie in der Teuerung.

KJV + EL = To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

Ps 34,10.11

Ps 33,20 Unsere Seele harrt auf JAHWEH; er ist unsere Hilfe und Schild.

KJV + EL = Our soul waits for YAHWEH: he is our help and our shield.

Ps 3,4

Ps 33,21 Denn unser Herz freut sich sein, und/ weil wir trauen auf seinen heiligen Namen.

KJV + EL = For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

Ps 33,22 Deine Güte, O JAHWEH, sei über uns, wie wir auf dich hoffen.

KJV + EL = Let your mercy, O YAHWEH, be upon us, according as we hope in you.

Psalm 34

Ps 34,1 Ein Psalm Davids, da er seine Gebärde verstellte vor Abimelech, als der ihn von sich trieb und er wegging. Ich will JAHWEH loben allezeit; sein Lob soll immerdar in meinem Munde sein.

KJV + EL + WEBSTER = [A Psalm] of David, when he changed his behavior before Abimelech; who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless YAHWEH at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Ps 34,2 Meine Seele soll sich rühmen JAHWEH’s, daß es die Elenden hören und sich freuen.

KJV + EL = My soul shall make her boast in YAHWEH: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

Ps 34,3 Preiset mit mir JAHWEH und laßt uns miteinander seinen Namen erhöhen.

KJV + EL = O magnify YAHWEH with me, and let us exalt his name together.

Ps 34,4 Da ich JAHWEH suchte, antwortete er mir und errettete mich aus aller meiner Furcht.

KJV + EL = I sought YAHWEH, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

Ps 34,5 Welche auf ihn sehen, die werden erquickt, und ihr Angesicht wird nicht zu Schanden.

KJV + EL = They looked to him, and were radiant: and their faces were not ashamed.

Ps 34,6 Da dieser Elende rief, hörte JAHWEH und half ihm aus allen seinen Nöten.

KJV + EL = This poor man cried, and YAHWEH heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

Ps 34,7 Der Engel JAHWEH’s lagert sich um die her, so ihn fürchten, und hilft ihnen aus.

KJV + EL = The angel of YAHWEH encamps round about them that fear him, and delivers them.

1. Mose 32,2; Ps 91,11

Ps 34,8 Schmeckt und seht, wie freundlich JAHWEH ist. Wohl dem, der auf ihn traut!

KJV + EL = O taste and see that YAHWEH is good: blessed is the man that trusts in him.

1. Petr 2,3

Ps 34,9 Fürchtet JAHWEH, ihr seine Heiligen! denn die ihn fürchten, haben keinen Mangel.

KJV + EL = O fear YAHWEH, you his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

Ps 37,19

Ps 34,10 Reiche müssen darben und hungern; aber die JAHWEH suchen, haben keinen Mangel an irgend einem Gut.

KJV + EL = The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek YAHWEH shall not want any good thing.

Ps 33,18.19; 37,25; Luk 1,53

Ps 34,11 Kommt her, Kinder, höret mir zu; ich will euch die Furcht JAHWEH’s lehren:

KJV + EL = Come, you children, listen to me: I will teach you the fear of YAHWEH.

Ps 34,12 Wer ist, der Leben begehrt und gerne gute Tage hätte?

KJV + EL = What man is he that desires life, and loves many days, that he may see good?

1. Petr 3,10-12

Ps 34,13 Behüte deine Zunge vor Bösem und deine Lippen, daß sie nicht Trug reden.

KJV + EL = Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking guile.

Ps 34,14 Laß vom Bösen und tue Gutes; suche Frieden und jage ihm nach.

KJV + EL = Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

Ps 37,27

Ps 34,15 Die Augen JAHWEH’s merken auf die Gerechten und seine Ohren auf ihr Schreien;

KJV + EL = The eyes of YAHWEH are upon the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry.

Ps 34,16 das Angesicht aber JAHWEH’s steht gegen die, so Böses tun, daß er ihr Gedächtnis ausrotte von der Erde.

KJV + EL = The face of YAHWEH is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

Spr 10,7

Ps 34,17 Wenn die Gerechten schreien, so hört JAHWEH und errettet sie aus all ihrer Not.

KJV + EL = The righteous cry, and YAHWEH hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.

Ps 34,18 JAHWEH ist nahe bei denen, die zerbrochenes Herzens sind, und hilft denen, die ein zerschlagen Gemüt haben.

KJV + EL = YAHWEH is near to them that are of a broken heart; and saves such as be of a contrite spirit.

Ps 51,19

Ps 34,19 Der Gerechte muß viel Leiden; aber JAHWEH hilft ihm aus dem allem.

KJV + EL = Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but YAHWEH delivers him out of them all.

2. Kor 1,5

Ps 34,20 Er bewahrt ihm alle seine Gebeine, daß deren nicht eins zerbrochen wird.

KJV + EL = He keeps all his bones: not one of them is broken.

Ps 34,21 LUTHER + ELBERFELDER 1871 = Den Gesetzlosen wird das Unglück/ Böse töten; und die den Gerechten hassen, werden Schuld haben.

KJV + EL = Evil shall slay the wicked/ the lawless: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

Ps 34,22 JAHWEH erlöst die Seele seiner Knechte; und alle, die auf ihn trauen, werden keine Schuld haben.

KJV + EL = YAHWEH redeems the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

Psalm 35

Ps 35,1 Ein Psalm Davids. O JAHWEH, hadere mit meinen Haderern; streite wider meine Bestreiter.

KJV + EL + WEBSTER = [A Psalm] of David. Plead my cause, O YAHWEH, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.

Ps 35,2 Ergreife Schild und Waffen und mache dich auf, mir zu helfen!

KJV + EL = Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help.

Ps 7,13.14

Ps 35,3 Zücke den Spieß und schütze mich gegen meine Verfolger! Sprich zu meiner Seele: Ich bin deine Hilfe!

KJV + EL = Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say to my soul, I am your salvation.

Ps 35,4 Es müssen sich schämen und gehöhnt werden, die nach meiner Seele stehen; es müssen zurückkehren und zu Schanden werden, die mir übelwollen.

KJV + EL = Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.

Ps 40,15

Ps 35,5 Sie müssen werden wie Spreu vor dem Winde, und der Engel JAHWEH’s stoße sie weg.

KJV + EL = Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of YAHWEH chase them.

Ps 35,6 Ihr Weg müsse finster und schlüpfrig werden, und der Engel JAHWEH’s verfolge sie.

KJV + EL = Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of YAHWEH persecute them.

Ps 35,7 Denn sie haben mir ohne Ursache ihr Netz gestellt, mich zu verderben, und haben ohne Ursache meiner Seele Gruben zugerichtet.

KJV + EL + WEBSTER = For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have dug for my soul.

V. 19

Ps 35,8 Er müsse unversehens überfallen werden; und sein Netz, das er gestellt hat, müsse ihn fangen; und er müsse darin überfallen werden.

KJV + EL = Let destruction come upon him unawares; and let his net that he has hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.

Ps 9,16

Ps 35,9 Aber meine Seele müsse sich freuen JAHWEH’s und sei fröhlich über seine Hilfe.

KJV + EL = And my soul shall be joyful in YAHWEH: it shall rejoice in his salvation.

Ps 35,10 Alle meine Gebeine müssen sagen: JAHWEH, wer ist deinesgleichen? Der du den Elenden errettest von dem, der ihm zu stark ist, und den Elenden und Armen von seinen Räubern.

KJV + EL = All my bones shall say, YAHWEH, who is like to you, who delivers the poor from him that is too strong for him, yes, the poor and the needy from him that robs him?

Ps 35,11 Es treten frevle Zeugen auf; die zeihen mich, des ich nicht schuldig bin (sie fragen mich nach Dingen, die ich nicht weiß).

KJV + EL = False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not.

Ps 35,12 Sie tun mir Arges um Gutes, mich in Herzeleid zu bringen.

KJV + EL = They rewarded me evil for good to the bereaving of my soul.

Ps 38,21

Ps 35,13 Ich aber, wenn sie krank waren, zog einen Sack an, tat mir wehe mit Fasten und betete stets von Herzen;

KJV + EL = But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into my own bosom.

Röm 12,15; Hiob 31,29

Ps 35,14 ich hielt mich, als wäre es mein Freund und Bruder; ich ging traurig wie einer, der Leid trägt über seine Mutter.

KJV + EL = I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourns for his mother.

Ps 35,15 Sie aber freuen sich über meinen Schaden und rotten sich; es rotten sich die Hinkenden wider mich ohne meine Schuld; sie zerreißen und hören nicht auf.

KJV + EL = But in my adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: The attackers gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me, and ceased not:

Ps 35,16 Mit denen, die da heucheln und spotten um des Bauches willen, beißen sie ihre Zähne zusammen über mich.

KJV + EL = With hypocritical mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.

Hiob 16,9

Ps 35,17 JAHWEH, wie lange willst du zusehen? Errette doch meine Seele aus ihrem Getümmel und meine einsame von den jungen Löwen!

KJV + EL = YAHWEH, how long will you look on? Rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions.
