Ps 58,7 Sie werden zergehen wie Wasser, das dahinfließt. Sie zielen mit ihren Pfeilen; aber dieselben zerbrechen.

KJV + EL = Let them melt away as waters which run continually: When he bends his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.

Ps 58,8 Sie vergehen wie die Schnecke verschmachtet; wie eine unzeitige Geburt eines Weibes sehen sie die Sonne nicht.

KJV + EL = As a snail who melts, let every one of them pass away: Like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.

Ps 58,9 Ehe eure Dornen reif werden am Dornstrauch, wird sie ein Zorn so frisch wegreißen.

KJV + EL = Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.

Ps 58,10 Der Gerechte wird sich freuen, wenn er solche Rache sieht, und wird seine Füße baden im Blute des Gesetzlosen (= ELBERFELDER),

KJV + EL = The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance: He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked/ the lawless.

Ps 58,11 daß die Leute werden sagen: Der Gerechte wird ja seiner Frucht genießen; es ist ja noch Gott [Elohim] Richter auf Erden.

ELBERFELDER 1871 = Und der Mensch wird sagen: Fürwahr, es gibt Lohn für den Gerechten; fürwahr, es gibt einen Gott [Elohim], der auf Erden richtet.

KJV + EL = So that a man shall say, Truly there is a reward for the righteous: Truly there is an Elohim that judges in the earth.

Ps 7,9

Psalm 59

Ps 59,1 Ein gülden Kleinod Davids, daß er nicht umkäme, da Saul hinsandte und ließ sein Haus verwahren, daß er ihn tötete. Errette mich, O mein Gott [Elohim], von meinen Feinden und schütze mich vor denen, die sich wider mich setzen.

KJV + EL = To the chief Musician, Al-tashheth. A Psalm of David. Michtam; when Saul sent, and they watched the house to kill him. Deliver me from my enemies, O my Elohim: Defend me from them that rise up against me.

1. Sam 19,11

Ps 59,2 Errette mich von den Übeltätern und hilf mir von den Blutgierigen.

KJV + EL = Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.

Ps 59,3 Denn siehe, JAHWEH, sie lauern auf meine Seele; die Starken sammeln sich wider mich ohne meine Schuld und Missetat.

KJV + EL = For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: The mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O YAHWEH.

Ps 59,4 Sie laufen ohne meine Schuld und bereiten sich. Erwache und begegne mir und siehe drein.

KJV + EL = They run and prepare themselves without my fault: Awake to help me, and behold.

Ps 44,24

Ps 59,5 Du Gott [Elohim], O JAHWEH Zebaoth, Gott [Elohim] Israels, wache auf und suche heim alle Nationen (Heiden); sei der keinem gnädig, die so verwegene Übeltäter sind. (Sela.)

KJV + EL = You therefore, O YAHWEH Sabaoth, Elohim, the Elohim of Israel, awake to visit all the nations: Be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah.

Ps 59,6 Des Abends heulen sie wiederum wie die Hunde und laufen in der Stadt umher.

KJV + EL = They return at evening: They make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.

Ps 59,7 Siehe, sie plaudern miteinander; Schwerter sind in ihren Lippen: „Wer sollte es hören?“

KJV + EL = Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: For who, say they, does hear?

Ps 59,8 Aber du, O JAHWEH, wirst ihrer lachen und aller Nationen (Heiden) spotten.

KJV + EL = But you, O YAHWEH, will laugh at them; you will have all the nations in derision.

Ps 2,4

Ps 59,9 Vor ihrer Macht halte ich mich zu dir; denn Gott [Elohim] ist mein Schutz.

KJV + EL = Because of your strength will I wait upon you: for Elohim is my high tower.

Ps 59,10 Gott erzeigt mir reichlich seine Güte; Gott läßt mich meine Lust sehen an meinen Feinden.

KJV + EL = My Elohim with his lovingkindness will meet me: Elohim will let me see my desire upon my enemies.

Ps 54,9

Ps 59,11 Töte sie nicht, daß es mein Volk nicht vergesse; zerstreue sie aber mit deiner Macht, O JAHWEH, unser Schild, und stoße sie hinunter!

KJV + EL = Kill them not, lest my people forget: Scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O YAHWEH our shield.

Ps 59,12 Das Wort ihrer Lippen ist eitel Sünde, darum müssen sie gefangen werden in ihrer Hoffart; denn sie reden eitel Fluchen und Lügen.

KJV + EL = For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.

Ps 59,13 Vertilge sie ohne alle Gnade; vertilge sie, daß sie nichts seien und innewerden, daß Gott [Elohim] Herrscher sei in Jakob, in aller Welt. (Sela.)

KJV + EL = Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that Elohim rules in Jacob to the ends of the earth. Selah.

Ps 59,15 Sie laufen hin und her um Speise und murren, wenn sie nicht satt werden.

Ps 59,16 Ich aber will von deiner Macht singen und des Morgens rühmen deine Güte; denn du bist mir Schutz und Zuflucht in meiner Not.

KJV + EL = But I will sing of your power; yes, I will sing aloud of your mercy in the morning: For you have been my high tower and refuge in the day of my trouble.

Ps 59,17 Ich will dir, O mein Hort, lobsingen; denn du, Gott [Elohim], bist mein Schutz und der Gott [Elohim] meiner Güte (= ELBERFELDER).

KJV + EL = To you, O my Strength, will I sing praises: For Elohim is my high tower, and the Elohim of my mercy.

Psalm 60

Ps 60,1 Ein gülden Kleinod Davids, vorzusingen; von der Rose des Zeugnisses, zu lehren; da er gestritten hatte mit den Syrern zu Mesopotamien und mit den Syrern von Zoba; da Joab umkehrte und schlug der Edomiter im Salztal zwölftausend. O Gott [Elohim], der du uns verstoßen und zerstreut hast und zornig warst, tröste uns wieder.

KJV + EL + WEBSTER = To the chief Musician upon Shushaneduth, Michtam of David, to teach; when he strove with Aramnaharaim and with Aramzobah, when Joab returned, and smote of Edom in the valley of salt twelve thousand. Ps 60,2 Der du die Erde bewegt und zerrissen hast, heile ihre Brüche, die so zerschellt ist.

KJV + EL = You have made the earth to tremble; you have broken it: Heal the breaches thereof; for it shakes.

Ps 60,3 Denn du hast deinem Volk Hartes erzeigt/ sehen lassen; du hast uns einen Trunk Weins gegeben, daß wir taumelten;

KJV + EL = You have shown your people hard things: you have made us to drink the wine of astonishment.

Jes 51,17.22

Ps 60,4 du hast aber doch ein Panier gegeben denen, die dich fürchten, welches sie aufwarfen und das sie sicher machte. (Sela.)

KJV + EL = You have given a banner to them that fear you, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.

Ps 20,6

Ps 60,5 ELBERFELDER 1871 = Damit befreit werden deine Geliebten, rette durch deine Rechte und erhöre uns!

KJV + EL = That your beloved may be delivered; save with your right hand, and hear me.

Ps 108,7-14

Ps 60,6 Gott [Elohim] redete in seinem Heiligtum, des bin ich froh, und will teilen Sichem und abmessen das Tal Sukkoth.

KJV + EL = Elohim has spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and measure out the valley of Succoth.

Ps 60,7 Gilead ist mein, mein ist Manasse, Ephraim ist die Macht meines Hauptes, Juda ist mein Zepter,

KJV + EL = Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the defence of mine head; Judah is my sceptre;

Ps 60,8 Moab ist mein Waschbecken, meinen Schuh strecke ich über Edom, Philistäa jauchzt mir zu.

KJV + EL = Moab is my washpot; upon Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph you because of me.

Ps 60,9 Wer will mich führen in die feste Stadt? Wer geleitet mich bis nach Edom?

KJV + EL = Who will bring me into the strong city? Who will lead me into Edom?

Ps 60,10 Wirst du es nicht tun, O Gott [Elohim], der du uns verstößest und ziehest nicht aus, O Gott [Elohim], mit unserm Heer?

KJV + EL = Will not you, O Elohim, which had cast us off? And you, O Elohim, which did not go out with our armies?

Ps 60,11 Schaffe uns Beistand in der Not; denn Menschenhilfe ist nichts nütze.

KJV + EL = Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

Ps 60,12 Mit Gott [Elohim] wollen wir Taten tun. Er wird unsere Feinde zertreten.

KJV + EL = Through Elohim we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

Psalm 61

Ps 61,1 Ein Psalm Davids, vorzusingen, auf Saitenspiel. Höre, O Gott [Elohim], mein Schreien und merke auf mein Gebet!

KJV + EL + WEBSTER = To the chief Musician upon Neginah, [A Psalm] of David. Hear my cry, O Elohim; attend to my prayer.

Ps 61,2 Hienieden auf Erden (Vom Ende der Erde) rufe ich zu dir, wenn mein Herz in Angst ist, du wollest mich führen auf einen hohen Felsen.

KJV + EL = From the end of the earth will I cry to you, when my heart is overwhelmed: Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

Ps 18,2.3; 71,3

Ps 61,3 Denn du bist meine Zuversicht, ein starker Turm vor meinen Feinden.

KJV + EL = For you have been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

Ps 61,4 Laß mich wohnen in deiner Hütte ewiglich und Zuflucht haben unter deinen Fittichen. (Sela.)

KJV + EL = I will abide in your tabernacle forever: I will trust in the covert of your wings. Selah.

Ps 63,3

Ps 61,5 Denn du, O Gott [Elohim], hörst mein Gelübde; du belohnst die wohl, die deinen Namen fürchten.

KJV + EL = For you, O Elohim, have heard my vows: you have given me the heritage of those that fear your name.

Ps 61,6 Du wollest dem König langes Leben geben, daß seine Jahre währen immer für und für,

KJV + EL = You will prolong the king‘s life: and his years as many generations.

Ps 21,5

Ps 61,7 daß er immer bleibe vor Gott [Elohim]. Erzeige ihm Güte und Treue, die ihn behüten.

KJV + EL = He shall abide before Elohim forever: Oh prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.

Ps 61,8 So will ich deinem Namen lobsingen ewiglich, daß ich meine Gelübde bezahle täglich.

KJV + EL = So will I sing praise to your name forever, that I may daily perform my vows.

Psalm 62

Ps 62,1 Ein Psalm Davids für Jeduthun, vorzusingen. Meine Seele sei stille zu Gott [Elohim], der mir hilft.

KJV + EL = To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of David. Truly my soul waits in silcence for Elohim only: From him comes my salvation.

Ps 39,1; Jes 30,15

Ps 62,2 Denn er ist mein Hort, meine Hilfe, meine Schutz, daß mich kein Fall stürzen wird, wie groß er ist.

KJV + EL = He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.

Ps 62,3 Wie lange stellt ihr alle einem nach, daß ihr ihn erwürgt/ sucht alle ihn niederzuwerfen - als eine hängende Wand und zerrissene Mauer?

KJV + EL = How long will you set upon a man? That you may kill him, all of you: as a leaning wall shall you be, and as a tottering fence.

Ps 62,4 Sie denken nur, wie sie ihn dämpfen, fleißigen sich der Lüge; geben gute Worte, aber im Herzen fluchen sie. (Sela.)

KJV + EL = They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: They delight in lies: They bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.

Ps 62,5 Aber sei nur stille zu Gott [Elohim], meine Seele; denn er ist meine Hoffnung.

KJV + EL = My soul, wait in silence for Elohim only; for my expectation is from him.

Ps 62,6 Er ist mein Hort, meine Hilfe und mein Schutz, daß ich nicht fallen werde.

KJV + EL = He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence/ my high tower; I shall not be moved.

Ps 18,2.3

Ps 62,7 Bei Gott [Elohim] ist mein Heil, meine Ehre, der Fels meiner Stärke; meine Zuversicht ist auf Gott [Elohim].

KJV + EL = In Elohim is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in Elohim.

Ps 61,4

Ps 62,8 Hoffet auf ihn allezeit, liebe Leute, schüttet euer Herz vor ihm aus; Gott [Elohim] ist unsere Zuversicht/ Zuflucht. (Sela.)

KJV + EL = Trust in him at all times; you people, pour out your heart before him: Elohim is a refuge for us. Selah.

Ps 62,9 Aber Menschen sind ja nichts, große Leute fehlen auch; sie wiegen weniger denn nichts, so viel ihrer ist.

ALBRECHT = Nur ein Hauch sind Leutesöhne. [Vgl. Ps. 49,3. Die geringen Menschen sind allesamt nichts.] / Lüge sind Herrensöhne [Die Vornehmen sind Lüge, weil sie nur den Schein haben, als wären sie etwas.]; / Auf der Waage schnellten sie sicher empor. [So leicht sind die Herrensöhne, die Vornehmen.] / Allzumal sind sie ein Hauch. [Alle Menschen ohne Unterschied, vornehm oder gering, sind nichts.]

KJV + EL = Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: In the balances they will go up, they are altogether lighter than vanity.

Ps 62,10 Verlasset euch nicht auf Unrecht/ erpresstes Gut und Frevel/ Laßt euch nicht blenden durch Raub! Haltet euch nicht zu solchem, das eitel ist; fällt euch Reichtum zu, so hänget das Herz nicht daran.

KJV + EL = Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.

Ps 62,11 Gott [Elohim] hat ein Wort geredet, das habe ich etlichemal gehört: daß Gott [Elohim] allein mächtig ist.

KJV + EL = Elohim has spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongs to Elohim.

Ps 62,12 Und du, O JAHWEH, bist gnädig und bezahlst/ vergiltst einem jeglichen, wie er es verdient/ nach seinen Werken.

KJV + EL = Also to you, O YAHWEH, belongs mercy: For you render to every man according to his work.

Röm 2,6-11

Psalm 63

Ps 63,1 Ein Psalm Davids, da er war in der Wüste Juda. O Gott [Elohim], du bist mein Gott [El]; frühe wache ich zu dir. Es dürstet meine Seele nach dir; mein Fleisch verlangt nach dir in einem trockenen und dürren Land, wo kein Wasser ist.

KJV + EL + WEBSTER = A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O Elohim, you are my El; early will I seek you: My soul thirsts for you, my flesh longs for you in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

Ps 63,2 Daselbst sehe ich nach dir in deinem Heiligtum, wollte gerne schauen deine Macht und Ehre/ deine Herrlichkeit.

KJV + EL = To see your power and your glory, so as I have seen you in the sanctuary.

Ps 63,3 Denn deine Güte ist besser denn Leben; meine Lippen preisen dich.

KJV + EL = Because your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise you.

Ps 63,4 Daselbst wollte ich dich gerne loben mein Leben lang und meine Hände in deinem Namen aufheben.

KJV + EL = Thus will I bless you while I live: I will lift up my hands in your name.

Ps 63,5 Das wäre meines Herzens Freude und Wonne, wenn ich dich mit fröhlichem Munde loben sollte.

KJV + EL = My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise you with joyful lips:

Ps 63,6 Wenn ich mich zu Bette lege, so denke ich an dich; wenn ich erwache, so rede ich von dir.

KJV + EL = When I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the night watches.

Ps 63,7 Denn du bist mein Helfer, und unter dem Schatten deiner Flügel frohlocke ich.

KJV + EL = Because you have been my help, therefore in the shadow of your wings will I rejoice.

Ps 63,8 Meine Seele hanget dir an; deine rechte Hand erhält mich.

KJV + EL = My soul follows close after you: Your right hand upholds me.

Ps 63,9 Sie aber stehen nach meiner Seele, mich zu überfallen; sie werden unter die Erde hinunterfahren.

KJV + EL = But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.

Ps 63,10 Sie werden ins Schwert fallen und den Füchsen zuteil werden.

KJV + EL = They shall fall by the sword: They shall be a portion for foxes.

Ps 63,11 Aber der König freut sich in Gott [Elohim]. Wer bei ihm schwört, wird gerühmt werden; denn die Lügenmäuler sollen verstopft werden.

KJV + EL = But the king shall rejoice in Elohim; every one that swears by him shall glory: But the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.

Psalm 64

Ps 64,1 Ein Psalm Davids, vorzusingen. Höre, O Gott [Elohim], meine Stimme in meiner Klage; behüte mein Leben vor dem grausamen Feinde.

KJV + EL = To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. Hear my voice, O Elohim, in my prayer: Preserve my life from fear of the enemy.

Ps 64,2 Verbirg mich vor der Versammlung/ geheimen Rat der Bösen, vor dem Haufen der Übeltäter,

KJV + EL = Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:

Ps 64,3 welche ihre Zunge schärfen wie ein Schwert, die mit giftigen Worten zielen wie mit Pfeilen,

KJV + EL = Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:

Ps 57,5

Ps 64,4 daß sie heimlich schießen (auf) die Frommen; plötzlich schießen sie auf ihn ohne alle Scheu.

KJV + EL = That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: Suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.

Ps 11,2

Ps 64,5 Sie sind kühn mit ihren bösen Anschlägen und sagen, wie sie Stricke legen wollen, und sprechen: Wer kann sie sehen?

KJV + EL = They encourage themselves in an evil matter: They commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?

Ps 94,7

Ps 64,6 Sie erdichten Schalkheit und halten es heimlich, sind verschlagen und haben geschwinde Ränke.

ELBERFELDER 1871 = Sie denken Schlechtigkeiten aus: „Wir haben’s fertig, der Plan ist ausgedacht/ ersonnen!“ Und eines jeden Inneres und Herz ist tief.

KJV + EL = They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: Both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.

Ps 64,7 ALBRECHT = Aber da trifft sie Gott [Elohim] mit dem Pfeil: / Plötzlich sind ihre Wunden da!

KJV + EL = But Elohim shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.

Ps 64,8 Ihre eigene Zunge wird sie fällen, daß ihrer spotten wird, wer sie sieht.

KJV + EL = So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: All that see them shall flee away.

Ps 7,16

Ps 64,9 Und alle Menschen werden sich fürchten und sagen: „Das hat Gott [Elohim] getan!“ und merken, daß es sein Werk sei.

KJV + EL = And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of Elohim; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.

Ps 64,10 Die Gerechten werden sich JAHWEH’s freuen und auf ihn trauen, und alle frommen/ aufrichtigen Herzen werden sich des rühmen.

KJV + EL = The righteous shall be glad in YAHWEH, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.

Psalm 65

Ps 65,1 Ein Psalm Davids, ein Lied, vorzusingen. O Gott, man lobt dich in der Stille zu Zion, und dir bezahlt man Gelübde.

KJV + EL + WEBSTER = To the chief Musician, A Psalm [and] Song of David. Praise waits for you, O Elohim, in Zion: And to you shall the vow be performed.

Ps 65,2 Du erhörst Gebet; darum kommt alles Fleisch zu dir.

KJV + EL = O you that hears prayer, to you shall all flesh come.

Ps 65,3 Unsere Missetaten/ Ungerechtigkeiten drücken uns hart; du wollest unsere Sünden/ Übertretungen vergeben.

KJV + EL = Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, you shall purge them away.

Ps 65,4 Wohl dem, den du erwählst und zu dir lässest, daß er wohne in deinen Höfen; der hat reichen Trost von deinem Hause, deinem heiligen Tempel.

KJV + EL = Blessed is the man whom you choose, and cause to approach to you, that he may dwell in your courts: We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house, your holy temple.

Ps 84

Ps 65,5 Erhöre uns nach der wunderbaren Gerechtigkeit, O Gott [Elohim], unser Heil, der du bist Zuversicht aller auf Erden und ferne am Meer;

KJV + EL = By terrible things in righteousness will you answer us, O Elohim of our salvation; you that are the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:

Ps 65,6 der die Berge fest setzt in seiner Kraft und gerüstet ist mit Macht;

KJV + EL = Who by his strength sets fast the mountains; being girded with power:

Ps 65,7 der du stillest das Brausen des Meers, das Brausen seiner Wellen und das Toben der Völker,

KJV + EL = Who stills the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.

Ps 89,10

Ps 65,8 daß sich entsetzen, die an den Enden wohnen, vor deinen Zeichen. Du machst fröhlich, was da webet, gegen Morgen und gegen Abend.

KJV + EL + WEBSTER = They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at your signs: You make the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.

Ps 65,9 Du suchst das Land heim und wässerst es und machst es sehr reich. Gottes [Elohims] Brünnlein/ Bach hat Wassers die (in) Fülle. Du läßt ihr Getreide wohl geraten; denn also bauest du das Land.

KJV + EL = You visit the earth, and water it: You greatly enrich it with the river of Elohim, which is full of water: You prepare them grain, when you have so provided for it.

Ps 46,5

Ps 65,10 Du tränkest seine Furchen und feuchtest sein Gepflügtes; mit Regen machst du es weich und segnest sein Gewächs.

KJV + EL + WEBSTER = You water its ridges abundantly: You settle its furrows: You make it soft with showers: You bless the springing of it.

Ps 104,13-16

Ps 65,11 Du krönst das Jahr mit deinem Gut, und deine Fußtapfen triefen von Fett.

KJV + EL = You crown the year with your goodness; and your paths drop fatness.

Ps 65,12 Die Weiden in der Wüste sind auch fett, daß sie triefen, und die Hügel sind umher lustig.

KJV + EL = They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: And the little hills rejoice on every side.

Ps 65,13 Die Anger sind voll Schafe, und die Auen stehen dick mit Korn, daß man jauchzet und singet.

KJV + EL = The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with grain; they shout for joy, they also sing.

Psalm 66

Ps 66,1 Ein Psalmlied, vorzusingen. Jauchzet Gott [Elohim], alle Lande!
